5 Special Drinks for parties

Are you organize a party and you want to celebrate in style with fun party drinks?
See below some of our favorite suggestions:

 

1. Pomegranate Bellinis

Ingredients (serves 8 cocktails)

  • 200ml (7fl oz) pomegranate juice
  • 75cl bottle of sparkling rosé wine
  • 2tbsp fresh pomegranate seeds

Method

  • Spoon 25ml (1fl oz) pomegranate juice into each of 8 Champagne flutes and carefully top up with chilled, sparkling rosé.
  • Garnish each drink with a few fresh pomegranate seeds, if you like, then serve immediately.

 

2.Vodka Spritzer with Raspberries and Blueberries

Incredients(serves 4  cocktails)

  • 1/2 cup of vodka, chilled
  • Juice of two limes
  • 2 Tbsp simple syrup, half water, half sugar, boil til sugar melts and then cool before using
  • 1/2 cup raspberries
  • 1/2 cup blueberries
  • 1/2 liter club soda, chilled
  • Raspberries and Blueberries for garnish.

Method

  • Combine all ingredients but the club soda in a pitcher and gently muddle. Add chilled club soda and gently stir.
  • Fill glasses with ice and using a strainer, pour the drink into the glasses.
  • Garnish with blueberries, raspberries and a sprig of mint. 

 

3. Pink Bauble

Ingredients (serves 6 cocktails)

  • 100ml (3 1/2fl oz) vodka, chilled
  • 100ml (3 1/2fl oz) Cointreau, chilled
  • splash sloe gin
  • 600ml (1pt) pink grapefruit juice, chilled
  • 300ml (½pt) pomegranate juice
  • 1 pink grapefruit, sliced, to garnish
  • pomegranate seeds (optional), to garnish

Method

  • Combine the vodka, Cointreau, gin and grapefruit juice, then pour into a large jug, filled with ice.
  • To serve, drop a few pomegranate seeds into the bottom of each martini glass and pour over the cocktail. Garnish with grapefruit slices to serve.

 

4. Fiery rum punch recipe

Ingredients (serves 8 cocktails)

  • 4cm piece fresh ginger, peeled and sliced
  • 4 lemons
  • 400ml dark rum
  • 1ltr fiery ginger beer
  • 2 balls stem ginger, to serve

Method

  • Put the ginger slices on a chopping board and press down with the flat of a knife or bottom of a glass to lightly crush. Add to a large jug with 2 of the lemons, cut into wedges, then muddle together with a wooden spoon or end of a rolling pin.
  • Pour over the rum – the base can be chilled now if making ahead.
  • When ready to serve, pour over the ginger beer and stir to mix. Serve in glasses with plenty of ice and garnish with the remaining lemons and stem ginger, both sliced into rounds.

 

5. Festive Prosecco Sangria Recipe

Ingredients (serves 8 glasses)

  • 100ml Apricot Brandy
  • 30g caster sugar
  • large handful ice
  • seeds from 1 pomegranate
  • 1 pear, cored and thinly sliced
  • 100g (4oz) seedless red grapes
  • 75cl bottle prosecco

Method

  • Tip the apricot brandy and the caster sugar into a large glass jug. Mix well to dissolve the sugar.
  • Add the ice and fruit then pour over the Prosecco. Stir with a spoon and pour into glasses to serve immediately.
  • Tip: Slice the pears just before serving to stop them turning brown.
